At AIM Design & Development, Our Mission is to Re-Define the experience between Client & Construction Culture.  We accomplish this through an approach that focuses on being cost effective and transparent, providing strong organizational structure, and proven processes of direct communication, by which, we acquire the necessary details for Success!

Dr. Rob Avila, created AIM Design & Development, LLC out of pure necessity.  Over 21 years ago, during construction of his first Healthcare Facility, Dr. Avila thrust himself into a Project Management/Superintendent role, to overcome the consistent lack of communication, quality, and follow through from Contractor to Subcontractor.  Dr. Avila quickly realized the only way to acquire “Value of a Build” was to engage with Quality Subcontractors,  and Maintain Direct Mitigation/Mediation through performing All Construction Supervision & Project Support from inception to Certificate of Occupancy.

Dr. Avila is Re-Defining General Contracting & Construction Management Services.  He has a proven established record of planning, directing, and monitoring complex Commercial, Residential, and Industrial construction projects from bids to occupancy.  He is uniquely qualified to meet the TIME, COST, & QUALITY requirements for multiple and/or concurrent projects.  The quality of Build defined in the numerous projects, in which, he’s been associated; Speak for Themselves. Dr. Avila is an analytical, engaging communicator (fluent in Spanish), skilled in building TRUST amongst subcontractors, architects, & engineers.  He understands the needs associated with Land Use, Zoning, & Variance, for he held a 6 year Appointment to the City of Pueblo Planning & Zoning Commission, with last seat held as a Vice-Chair.

What is a "Class A" General Contractor?

It is the highest licensing classification and authorization to construct or demolish, or deconstruct any Commercial, Residential, and/or Industrial building or structure including ALL work authorized by lower classes.

A design-build general contractor makes for a much smoother construction project.  This type of general contractor creates a cohesive entity that has a single point of contact for management of the “custom” project.

What is a “Commercial” Contractor?

A commercial contractor is a general contractor who specializes in Commercial construction (Medical Facilities, Office Buildings, Mall/Retail Stores, Restaurants, & Hotels).  A commercial contractor will oversee the construction project, including managing subcontractors, materials, vendors, and equipment.  Ensuring that the Project is carried out according to schedule, budget, and quality.

What is an “Industrial” Contractor?

An industrial contractor manages the building, repair, demolition, and relocation of industrial facilities such as warehouses, and factories. Responsible for obtaining licenses, managing budgets, and subcontractors and maintaining the quality within each individual project. 

What is a “Residential” Contractor?

A residential building contractor oversees the “Design-Build” or “Custom” construction of individual houses and/ or multi-unit housing projects.  Construction Management of project vision, managing budgets, and overseeing the quality of subcontractors.
